Whats on?
Berwick-upon-Tweed has such a rich history and our Heritage Open Days (HODs) events show this off to the full!
During our events we offer everything from online talks to graveyard walks. We also offer you the chance to take a look at buildings and sites often closed to the public.

HODs Visitor - September 2025
“We’ve had three very varied and interesting days, from guided tours to exploring buildings that aren’t generally open to the public. We’ve learned a lot about Berwick’s recent and past history and that has whetted our appetite to learn more for ourselves. Our guides were most knowledgeable and enthusiastic and all the stewards so helpful. We’ve met some lovely people and are already looking forward to next year’s event.”
HODs Visitor - 2025
“Well organised and comprehensive range of talks, walks and exhibitions. Excellent tour guides and greeters at the different venues. We visited primarily for this and it was exceptional and hope it is supported well next year.”
